This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Turbo Reman Center, Inc. (“Turbo Reman Center”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects through turboremancenter.com (the “Site”), how we use it and the choices you have. We are a turbocharger and fuel injector shop at 643 W Colfax St, Palatine, IL 60067.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us.

When you send a message through our contact form: your name, e-mail address, the subject and your message.
When you place an order request: the details you enter at checkout, such as your name, company, phone number, e-mail address and address, the products you choose and any notes.
When you sign up for our newsletter: your e-mail address.
When you call or e-mail us: what you choose to tell us, such as vehicle and part information.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit, to keep the Site running and secure. Our shop sets a few cookies that are needed for the cart to work (see section 6).

Customer reviews. We show reviews, names and photos that customers posted on our public Google Business Profile, with their permission.

We do not collect payment card details on the Site. Payment is arranged when we confirm your order.

2. How we use your information

To answer your questions and call you back about your order request.
To confirm, fulfill and support your order, including delivery or pickup, returns, core deposit refunds and warranty claims.
To send our newsletter, if you signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to a newsletter or contacting us.
To keep the Site and our business secure and to prevent fraud and spam.
To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
To understand how the Site is used and improve it.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:

Service providers that work for us, such as our website host and our e-mail provider (Google), which receive the messages and order notifications sent from the Site.
Carriers and payment providers, when needed to deliver your order or process your payment.
Authorities or other parties, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or reorganized.

4. Content from other services

Some features load content from other companies only when you choose to use them: our production video plays from YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode) after you press play, our reels play in Facebook’s player after you open one, and Google Maps loads after you press “Show map”. Links to our Google, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok pages take you to those services. When you use these features, the companies that run them may collect information and set cookies under their own privacy policies.

5. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site, such as which pages are visited. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes information such as your IP address, device and pages viewed. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

6. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. The Site uses:

Shop cookies (such as woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart and wp_woocommerce_session_) that remember your cart. They are needed for ordering to work.
Login cookies for our staff when they sign in to manage the Site.
Analytics cookies, if Google Analytics is in use (see section 5).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block shop cookies, the cart will not work.

Do Not Track. We do not track visitors across other websites, and the Site does not change its behavior in response to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

7. How long we keep information

We keep messages and order records for as long as we need them to serve you, handle returns and warranty claims, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to the Site and limited access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law, including the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act.

9. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by contacting us as shown below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep information that the law requires us to keep. Residents of some states, such as California, have additional rights under their state laws; we will honor those rights where they apply. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

10. Children

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will post a notice on the Site.
